Program # APO-0050
Title: “Finding Balance"
Format: Weekly Via Email - 12 Weeks In Length
Designated Audience: Ideally, Anyone In The Early Stages Of Recovery
"To avoid falling down when you're riding a bicycle you must keep moving forward and stay balanced.
You have to do both, because one without the other won't work. And the same could be said about
recovery from addiction. To keep from falling down, you have to move forward and to keep moving
forward, you have to stay balanced." |

The Word Is "Intense"
Once you've been in recovery for even a little while, you begin to see it happen time and time again. Some people refer to it as the tendency for most people with addictions to have "binge personalities," or to only have only two "settings" for how they approach things - "Off" or "Intense" For example, you'll see people become intensively involved in a 12 step program. They'll attend tons of meetings, they'll volunteer for service, they'll call their Sponsor twice a day, they'll memorize the Big Book - in short, they jump in 150%. Gradually, their friends, their leisure time, virtually everything they do will begin to revolve around the 12 Step life.
For others, they'll apply that same intensity to their work or to starting a new business. And eventually, they'll find themselves working fifteen hours a day, seven days a week. And for others, now that they're living addiction-free, they might begin looking for a relationship and they'll dive into that with intense energy.
And "intensity" seems to be one of the signature traits of people who fall prey to addiction and it's a blessing and a curse. It's not a coincidence that some of the most famous people today and throughout history have been addicts and alcoholics. And their intensity is what made most of them so accomplished, and it's what brought most of them down, temporarily, or in some cases, permanently.
It's About Balance
The point is, whatever new new direction or directions we take in early recovery, it must be part of a balanced program and a balanced life. If it's not, it can become a classic case of having "all your eggs in one basket," and that's not what you want to do.
"Finding Balance," as a program, doesn't tell you what to do. But what it does do, is make you ask yourself the critical questions that will allow you to set up your program properly so it can become part of a total lifestyle that you truly enjoy. Within this program, you not only learn what other people have done that actually works, we also give you some examples of things that don't work and why they don't work. This program is effective for everyone, but is particularly effective for those with 90 days or less of clean time.
This program is conducted via email, is 12 weeks in length and costs $ 75.00 (U.S.) Orders outside Canada are tax free, Canadian orders are tax included.
